OSU Wooster Scarlet, Gray, Green Fair Set for April 20

WOOSTER, Ohio - Ohio State University's third annual Wooster Campus Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair will take place from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), 1680 Madison Ave., Wooster.
Renewable energy, local food, backyard gardening, better recycling, and simple ways to cut your energy and transportation bills will be among the topics.
Enjoy vendors, displays, exhibits and demonstrations, all on a theme of "Green is for Life!" plus a keynote opening talk (11 a.m.) by Wooster native Bill Spratley, a College of Wooster and Ohio State law alumnus and the executive director of Green Energy Ohio.
Admission is free and open to the public.

The schedule calls for an opening ceremony, including Spratley's talk, at 11 a.m. in Fisher Auditorium; for the exhibits to be open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in and around the auditorium; and for an awards ceremony - the fair is sponsoring a number of student competitions - from 5:30-6:30 p.m. inside the auditorium.
Coordinating sponsors are Ohio State's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences; three parts of the college - OARDC, Ohio State University Extension and the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute, also in Wooster; and the Wayne County Sustainable Energy Network.
Last year's program drew an estimated 1,800 people.
