Hazardous Waste Collection

Collection of Wooster campus generated hazardous waste will be held monthly at the Metabollic Lab located behind Gerlaugh Hall west of the OARDC Garage.  Campus-wide notices will be circulated as dates and times are determined throughout the year.

Hazardous waste collection is for waste generated by the Wooster Campus

All waste containers must be labeled as to the constituents contained within the container: pouring of chemicals is only an option if you have organics (i.e. solvents, flammables, etc.)

Chemicals that cannot be poured must be “packed” and you will lose the container.   Strong acids and bases require separate containers and cannot be poured into the drums.

Take this opportunity to dispose of old chemicals, solvents, and other waste products in your lab/storage areas.  (Note:  Do not bring biologicals or waste in red or orange bags)
