The Glycine max WRKY (GmWRKY) Promoter family
WRKY transcription factors are one of the largest multigene
families of transcriptional regulators in plants. The transcription factors were
named WRKYs after the conserved WRKY amino acid sequence in the DNA binding
domain. WRKY transcription factors play roles in response to biotic and abiotic
stresses. The GmWRKY promoter family was selected based on the coding region of
the gene, as well an interesting response to stress, based on microarray data.
