AACC Cincinnati Section Fall Meeting Tuesday, September 21, 2004 – 7:30 AM San Diego, California Minutes of the Meeting • Welcome John McCammon opened the meeting by welcoming all to San Diego. 13 people were in attendance. • Approval of Minutes from Spring 2004 Wooster Meeting CJ Lin made motion to accept minutes, 2nd by Jim Marrs, minutes were approved as written. • Treasurer’s Report As of 08/31/04 checking balance was $4,836.20 Expenses for FY04 have been for the section reception at the Wooster conference banquet and section awards. Jan Levenhagen made the motion to accept treasurer’s report; 2nd by Sharon Dillon; motion passed. • Membership Report Current membership is at 72. Invoices for membership dues for 2005 & 2006 have been mailed out. After all are returned, Dave will distribute the updated list. As of 10/06/04 16 of 72 members have paid dues for 2005-06. • Committee Reports Section Brochure Committee – Work in progress Technical NIR Roundtable – Tabled till Wooster spring meeting. New Flour Check Sample/Section web page coordinator – Marianne Tegeler from Siemer Milling has agreed to take responsibility. Section voted unanimously to approve. • Election of 2005 Officers Current 2004 officers: Chair – John McCammon-Siemer Milling Company Vice-Chair – Sharon Dillon-The Mennel Milling Co. Secr/Tres – Dave Braun-The Mennel Milling Co. Elected officers for 2005 are as followed: Chair – Sharon Dillon - Mennel Milling Vice-Chair - James Elkins-Mennel Milling. Secr/Tres: Dave Braun-Mennel Milling Motion to accept slate of officers made by Jim Marrs, 2nd by Allen Westendorf, motion passed. Vice-Chair moves up to Chair and both are a 1-year term. Secretary/Treasurer does not move up and is a 2-year term. Nominations for 2006 Vice-Chair position will take place at the spring Wooster meeting. • Old/New Business Jan Levenhagen made the motion to have the Section make a $500 donation to the AACC Student Travel Fund, 2nd James Elkins; motion passed. As of this writing, a $500 check has been mailed. John McCammon asked if anyone had an interest in participating in the AACC Expert Panel. Those interested are to contact John. John McCammon made a motion to officially wish Tara Shidler of Hodgson Mills a “Happy Birthday”, 2nd by Jim Marrs; motion passed. • Next Meeting will be in April 2005 in Wooster, Ohio. • Adjourn Allen made the motion to adjourn; 2nd by Marianne; motion passed.
