  • Leap into Local Foods

Leap into Local Foods Workshop - held Feb 29, 2008  write-up

Local Food Systems.org  This site was developed as a result of the Leap into Local Foods Workshop held February 29, 2008. It is the go-to site for networking, collaborating and building local economies in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. The site is open to anyone wishing to find out more or to participate in strengthening our local food systems. Log on to the site and select from a long list of working groups all engaged in finding solutions and opportunities for building local food systems.

  • Planning and Design for a Sustainable Farm

In the Spring of 2008, AMP offered a class in Planning and Design of a Sustainable Farm - Open to undergraduate and graduate students, the class was video linked between Wooster and the Columbus OSU campuses.  The Mellinger Farm was the focus for the planning exercise and resulted in team presentations proposing unique enterprise opportunities and innovative designs for the long term sustainability of the historic farm.
