Women's Retirement May Differ Depending on Work Experience
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Women who are about to retire shouldn't assume the transition will be an easy one. Christine Price, assistant professor of human development and family science at Ohio State University, interviewed two groups of retired women -- those who held professional jobs when working, and those who held nonprofessional jobs. While she found the two groups experienced differences in several areas in the transition to retirement, she also found similarities.
