Pregnant Women Sought for 'Healthy Baby, Healthy Me' Program
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Pregnant women are among the most at risk when it comes to food-borne illness. But there's little research to show how best to reach them with food safety educational programs and materials -- especially those with low incomes. That's why Ohio State University Extension is offering "Healthy Baby, Healthy Me," a series of eight food safety and nutrition classes specifically targeted for low-income pregnant women. Participants can earn up to $50 for taking the classes.

Carbon Storage in No-Till Varies with Soil Type/Depth
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No-till production is widely considered an appropriate crop production system for sequestering carbon -- the process of storing carbon in plants and the soil so that the buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is reduced or slowed. But the extent of its benefits depends on soil type and soil depth, Ohio State University soil scientists have discovered.
