OARDC Employee Development
What We Are:
The OARDC Employee Development Steering Committee consists of a group of OARDC employees charged with the responsibility of identifying the needs of employees in order to develop and implement an ongoing training program which will allow individuals to enhance the quality and scope of their career skills, as well as other aspects of the employee's life such as health, family, and finances.
Who We Are:
The program is sponsored by the OARDC Director's Office. Courses are coordinated by the Steering Committee, which includes a diverse membership made up by nine OARDC staff members. The OARDC Human Resources Manager serves as an ex-officio member. Members serve a three-year terms, with three members being assigned each year and three rotating off. The committee years run from October 1 through September 30.
How We Select Programs:
We get ideas and suggestions by many means:
-from our fellow employees -from evaluation forms completed by class participants -from outside sources that offer their services -from surveys conducted by the committee.
Your Role:
If you have an idea or suggestion for an enrichment program that you would like to be offered here at OARDC, contact one of the Steering Committee members or OARDC Human Resources.
