University Radiation Safety Committee

The committee meets quarterly on the second Tuesday of February, May, August and November of each year.  The committee meets from 12:30 to 1:30 PM and lunch is provided. 

Responsibilities of committee members include:
1. Review, approve, delcine or table applications for the use of radioactive materials.
2.  Maintain awareness of regulations and license conditions
3.  Perform audits of Radiation Safety Program
4.  Assist Radiation Safety committee in identification of problems, causes and solutions
5.  Develop, adopt and implement policies
6.  Recommend actions requiring financial support
7.  Members serve 3-year terms and may be reappointed

This committee is essential to allowing OSU to meet federal and state regulations pertaining to the use of radiation sources.  OARDC is priviledged to have a seat at the table to discuss regulations, policies, etc that impact our investigators.
