OARDC Childcare Program Description

Childcare Program Mission

The mission of the Childcare Program is to increase the accessibility of quality childcare to all eligible employees of the OARDC.

The Program History

The OARDC Childcare Program is an innovative system to provide OARDC employees at the Wooster campus and outlying stations with assistance in obtaining quality childcare. The program was implemented in February 1989, using community childcare centers that met Ohio State University childcare agency standards. OARDC employees were reimbursed a portion of the cost of their childcare using a voucher system. The system described herein directly reimburses employees and student full-time employees for part of the cost of childcare in a licensed day care facility during hours when parents are working outside of the home or inside the home in an income generating capacity or attending classes.

The day care program is a privilege not to be taken advantage of. Anyone who submits false information will be removed from the system with no exceptions. Restitution may be requested.
