Subsidy

The Director’s Office allocates funds on an annual basis to assist all eligible employees and students. Monthly reimbursements will vary according to the number of participants in the program and will not exceed 40% of requested charges. Based on average prevailing rates of childcare in the Wooster area ($25.00/day), the daily maximum reimbursement will not exceed $10.00 per day per child.

The subsidy is considered to be a dependent care assistance program by the Internal Revenue Service and will be reported on the employee's W-2 form. The maximum amount of permitted reimbursement under IRS rules for any and all tax free dependent care assistance is $5,000 each year.
