Who Can Join

Any OSU employee working in Wayne county or any USDA employee working at OARDC's Wooster campus may become a member.

Our Mission

We are an association of OSU and affiliated employees and their families who have incorporated under law in a mutual endeavor to provide a safe and convenient means of encouraging thrift through systematic savings, provide funds from which members may obtain low cost loans for provident and productive purposes and provide members an opportunity for learning how to improve the management of their financial affairs through a cooperative and democratic organization.

Organization Profile

Control of the affairs of the Credit Union is vested in a Board of Directors who are elected from and by the membership at the Annual Meeting at which a quorum of members must be present.  In addition to the Board of Directors, there is an Audit Committee appointed by the board whose duty is to perform a monthly examination of all of the books and records of the Credit Union.  Additionally, there is a Credit Committee whose duty is to meet weekly and to examine and approve or deny requests for loans. 

The OARDC Employees' Credit Union is insured by a private insurance company - American Share Insurance (ASI).  Share accounts are insured up to $250,000.  This institution is not federally insured, and if the institution fails, the federal government does not guarantee that depositors will get their money back.

Any information regarding the Credit Union, its policies, and benefits may be obtained from any member of the board, or by contacting the office during business hours.  The office is open from 12:00 (noon) until 1:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  The office is closed on Wednesdays and state holidays.
