Computer User Workroom

We provide a "user workroom"
with up-to-date computers, printers, slide and document scanners, and popular software
(office, graphics, and statistical applications) for staff and student use.
We also maintain networked printers, including color
laser printers, for general campus use.
The Computer User Workroom also serves as a
state-of-the-art training facility. In addition to the computers and
peripherals, the room is equipped with a video projector which can be used
for projecting presentations. The projector can also be used to
project DVD or VCR presentations as well as cable TV broadcasts. We provide training (see below)
as well as a venue for other training courses. Campus groups are
welcome to reserve the room for their own training needs.

Training
We conduct a number of training workshops at various levels
for many computer software applications: Windows, email, web
browsing, word processing, databases, presentations, spreadsheets,
statistical applications, etc. Many of these workshops are in
coordination with the OARDC Employee Development program. To view the

Site Licensed Software
We distribute much software
licensed by the Ohio State University for staff and student use.
A complete listing of site-licensed software is available
here;
check with us for the titles we can distribute. A wide variety
software is available free directly from the OIT "software
to go" site. CSS also provides some volume purchased
software and can obtain other packages at attractive academic discount.
