Department awards:

W. Fred Hink Research Award ($500)
This award will be given for the best graduate student paper published or in press during the current academic year.  The graduate student must be the senior author of the paper, and the paper must be based on research completed at Ohio State.  Eligible applicants must either be current students or have graduated in December 2006 or March 1007.  Advisors are invited to submit papers from the students who have already graduated.  Please submit three copies of the paper for review.  If the paper has not yet been published, please provide verification that the paper is "in press".  The award will be given only if the best paper is considered to be excellent.

Mary Ellen Clay Teaching Award ($200)
This award will be given for excellence in teaching.  Current students may apply for this award and/or be nominated by members of the faculty or student colleagues.  Applications or nominations should provide documentation of excellence in the classroom.  This may include instruction for General Biology or Entomology.  Three copies of the application/nomination material should be submitted.

Department Service Award ($100)
This award will be given in recognition of outstanding service to the department.  Current students may apply for this award and/or be nominated by other members of the department.  Applications or nominations should indicate the service for which the student is to be recognized.
