Within the department, there are two student organizations which were created to give students affiliated with The Ohio State University the opportunity to interact with each other and to have input into the development of the discipline of entomology.

In the Columbus campus, Entomology Graduate Student Association (EGSA) serves needs of graduate students stationed in the main campus.

In the Wooster campus, Wooster Entomology Graduate Student Association (WEGSA) serves specific needs of students who are stationed in Wooster.

Students in EGSA and WEGSA meet regularly to discuss about important issues concerning graduate students and plan social events. The President of EGSA serves as a Graduate Student Representative in the faculty meeting to make sure the voice of students is heard.
