UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES IN ENTOMOLOGY

Considering majoring in Entomology?  As an entomology major you will have the opportunity to be a part of a unique department in the College of Biological Sciences.  While taking full advantage of courses in General Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, you will also have multiple choices for challenging and fun courses in a range of entomology topics.  In addition, many entomology majors find opportunities for research as well as hands-on lab, field and insect-rearing experience through part-time or seasonal employment in the department.  A major in entomology is an excellent preparation for graduate school or professional interests.  A minor in entomology is also offered, which may be helpful in strengthening applications to graduate or professional schools.  A minor in entomology can also be an excellent complement to any other of the 170 or so majors at Ohio State, from Agricultural Communication to Pharmaceutical Sciences and from Art to Special Education.
