Summer Research Fellowship for Minority Undergraduate Students

Fellows are hired as Student Research Assistants with wages ranging from $8-$9 per hour for a 40 hour work week, for 10 weeks, usually from the third week in June through the fourth week of August.   The position includes free housing at Applewood Apartments in Wooster, within walking distance to the lab. 

JOIN US

    Learn the fundamentals of animal health research
     Learn how to work independently in a laboratory setting
     Help develop a new diagnostic test
     Find practical ways to reduce contamination in livestock water supplies
     Characterize the genetic code of a virus
     Work on vaccine development
     Improve critical thinking skills through participation in rigorous lab & field-based research
     Write up your research project, present to the department, and enter a competition

AND

     Meet students in the Upward Bound Program at ATI
     Work with students from the College of Wooster and other institutions
     Attend the Jazz Festival & other summer activities in downtown Wooster
     Visit Wayne County, Ohio Amish country & attend the Mennonite Relief Sale
     Work with people from around the world & in our local community
