Congratulations to Ryan Vogel who was awarded two schiolarships this fall. Ryan was awarded a SAF Diversity Scholarship and has been named a SAF Diversity Ambassador. SAF's Student Diversity Ambassador Program is designed to promote leadership skills and create a community for those students involved. The program involves attending the SAF National Convention and participating in a series of activities focused on developing leadership and networking skills and participate in opportunities to interact with leaders and become a future leader in SAF. Ryan was also awarded the 2016 Traditional Student Scholarship by the Ohio Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture.


Sarah Rose presented the talk "Changes in the ground spider guild community in post-wildfire jack pine forests of northern Lower Michigan" at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Ecological Society of America held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from August 7 to August 12, 2016.
