Vehicles

OARDC has vehicles available for use by OSU employees for research work. The vehicles are available from the motor pool which is located at the physical plant. To drive a vehicle, you must have a drivers license issued by one of the 50 united states, not from a foreign country. You must also have a drivers permit on file with Facilities Services. On the back of the drivers permit are the regulations for using OSU vehicles. You can reserve a vehicle through you department secretary. We have cars, mini vans, 15 passenger vans, and trucks available for checkout or rental. Feel free to call the garage at 263-3918 for more information.

Note: Neither undergraduate or graduate students are allowed to drive OARDC vehicles to out of state destinations or professional meetings unless accompanied by a faculty advisor. There are no exceptions to this rule. In the event that undergraduate or graduate students need to drive to out of state destinations, then it is recommended that a vehicle be rented from a commercial car rental agency and that appropriate insurance on this vehicle be purchased through the agency.
