Personal Computers


Students and visiting scientists are welcome to use their personal computers on the OARDC network with the following provisions:

1) In order to use Internet resources, the computer must be registered on our network. Bring the computer to the OARDC Information Technology Department, Room 131, Research services building for this free service.

2) The computer must have current anti-virus software and shown to be virus-free.

3) In order to use the wireless ‘hot-spots', the user must be able to authenticate through the OSU system with a name.n login authorization. That free login account can be requested at CSS and will also provide an OSU.EDU email account..

4) Upon leaving OARDC, the computer should be brought by CSS to be removed from our network structure.

Failure to do so can result in difficulties later.
