• Direct costs

  • Clearly allocated to the project
  • Salaries, supplies, equipment

• Indirect costs

  • Heating, lighting, building maintenance, administration, libraries
  • Percentage of “modified total direct costs”

    • All costs except: equipment, patient care, alterations, rennovations, participant costs, tuition and fees, and subcontract costs above $25,000.
