| PI status is only automatically conferred to tenure track faculty. Other staff must have their Department Chair write a letter to the Director of Research requesting PI status. The letter should specify what project they need the status for and should include a copy of their most recent curriculum vita. Even with PI status, non-faculty PIs must have a regular faculty member serve as a PI on the project with them. These requirements are per the Graduate Council as adopted in 1975. |
