$7,500 competitive funds annually - $150 maximum per individual.

 

Scholarships through Chi Epsilon Sigma – two $200 annually (members only).

 

Chi Epsilon Sigma – (professional organization) opportunity to be a member and participate on job time – develops leadership skills.

Specialization funds - $750 maximum per individual/annually – competitive, limited total funds.

 

$300 annually per individual or team to present paper or workshop at professional meeting.

 

Epsilon Sigma Phi – (professional organization) opportunity to be a member and participate on job time – develops leadership skills.

 

In-service training at district and state levels.

Opportunities and financial assistance handled informally and on an individual basis.

 

Staff in Columbus have access to OSU classes, however, they are sometimes full or not the type of class needed by staff.

$5,000 Professional Growth Scholarships – twenty at $250.  Funded through CQI funds.

 

Career Development Fund - $1,000 annually for scholarships - $500 maximum per individual; small amounts encouraged.  Funded through Campus Campaign.

 

Some departments have Campus Campaign funds available.

 

Orientation.

Scholarships - $10,000 annually for workshops, seminars and conferences.  Maximum $700 per person; most in the $100-$400 range.  First come, first served.

 

No orientation, but handbook distributed to new staff.

One- or two-day conference annually.

 

Mentor and orientation programs.

 

Computer training through Communications and Technology.

 

Additional opportunities and financial assistance handled informally and on an individual basis.

Employee Development Committee sponsors classes for professional and personal growth.  $12,000 available through Director’s Office.
