Thesis: Preservation of Meat by Gamma Irradiation and High Pressure processing Technology
In the frame of Shuttle Program (Scientific Channel Program), I did my Ph.D. work (2002-2004) in the Food Science and Technology Department under the supervision of Prof Dr. Ahmed E. Yousef at Ohio State University, USA. During this period I had perfected the basic skills in food safety and microbiology, non-thermal technologies (high pressure processing, pulsed electric field, ozone and gamma irradiation), bacterial spores, electron microscopy, gel electrophoresis and pulsed field gel electrophoresis.
