The mission of OARDC Staff Council is to enhance the working environment of the OARDC community by facilitating communication between staff and administration, and by promoting opportunities for staff advancement and recognition. 

The purpose of the OARDC Staff Council is to serve as liaison between the OARDC staff and the Administration; to provide a forum in which OARDC Staff can raise and discuss concerns and make recommendations on programs; and to facilitate good communications.  

The Council consists of 12 voting members and 3 non-voting members.  Voting members are appointed to 3-year terms by the Director of the OARDC each year.  Voting members advocate for specific districts or are appointed as at-large members.  The 8 districts encompass all OARDC acedemic and service departments. 

Staff Council meets regularly throughout the year to follow up with ongoing projects, review news from the Administration, discuss new business, and plan upcoming events.  The Council holds an Annual Meeting and a Staff Forum for all OARDC Employees.  During the Annual Meeting, an Annual Report including the activities and acheivements of Staff Council is presented.  The Staff Forum is an opportunity for Administration to present and discuss issues of concern to OARDC staff.
