The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center has something to offer everyone--especially organizations, charter bus travelers and other tour groups. OARDC's 85-acre Secrest Arboretum is a superb place to visit. Relax in the pavilion ... wander down woodland paths ... or gaze into the cool depths of the water garden. Spring offers spectacular displays in the rhododendron and azalea gardens. And the crabapple alee is breathtaking. The Garden of Roses of Legend and Romance is in full bloom during early summer months. Explore over 500 varieties of rare and antique roses. The deciduous tree plot is an excellent source of vibrant color in the fall.

You'll also enjoy a stately greenhouse conservatory. The conservatory and surrounding gardens are maintained by students at Ohio State's Agricultural Technical Institute, located on our neighboring campus.

OARDC's historical museum is a site of intrigue and nostalgia. View photos of the research station's move from Columbus to Wooster and see the first computer used on campus. You'll also find examples of yesterday's farm implements and photos depicting the center's history.

Schedule a guided tour of our campus facilities and grounds or explore Secrest Arboretum on your own. It's open to the public from dawn until dusk, seven days. Restroom facilities are available in the Visitors Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For information or to book a tour, contact OARDC Visitor Relations at (330) 202-3507 or (330) 263-3700, send an e-mail, or fill in the contact information to have a visitor relations representative contact you.
