These children enjoy an up-close-and-personal look at insects from OARDC's bug zoo.
Each year, interest from school groups in touring OARDC's Wooster campus increases by leaps and bounds. Why? Because science - and the imact it has on the agricultural industry - plays a vital role in the curriculum of today's students. OARDC's GROW program (Giving Research-Based Outreach that Works) provides opportunities for students to become engaged in science in fun, hands-on ways that allow them to reinforce what they are learning in the classroom.

Opportunities available to students include participating in special events such as the Science of Agriculture and A Bug's World workshops, participating in guided tours of campus, participating in nature walks in Secrest Arboretum, visiting OARDC's Bug Zoo, participating in the Women in Science Day, and much more.

NEW! OARDC is expanding its OARDC on the Road program for schools experiencing financial hardship to learn more about the science of agriculture.
