OARDC will host the 8th annual Science of Agriculture workshop October 7-8, 2009. Activities for K-5 students will take place on October 7; events for grade 6-12 students will be October 8. REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT.
Sessions are conducted by faculty and staff from OARDC's departments of Computing and Statistical Services; Entomology; Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering; Horticulture and Crop Science; Food Animal Health Research Program,and Plant Pathology as well as the School of Environment and Natural Resources, Garden of Roses of Legend and Romance and Secrest Arboretum. Additional sessions are conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture/Agricultural Research Service, Wayne County Soil & Water Conservation District, Wayne County Recycling, Farm Safety 4 Just Kids, Ohio FFA Association, Volunteer Master Naturalists, and Town & Country Co-Op.

Typically over 1,000 students from across Ohio register to participate in our annual Science of Agriculture workshop. If you have already registered to attend, please download a listing of session locations — and don't forget to download a copy of our OARDC campus map to determine the location of your sessions and assess your transportation needs.. Remember, you are responsible for transporting your students to all sessions.
