Each year, interest from school groups in touring OARDC's Wooster campus increases by leaps and bounds. Why? Because science - and the imact it has on the agricultural industry - plays a vital role in the curriculum of today's students. OARDC's GROW program (Giving Research-Based Outreach that Works) provides opportunities for students to become engaged in science in fun, hands-on ways that allow them to reinforce what they are learning in the classroom.
Opportunities available to students include participating in special events such as the Science of Agriculture and A Bug's World workshops, the Breakfast of Science Champions, summer day camps OARDC on the Road, guided campus tours, nature walks in Secrest Arboretum, visiting OARDC's Bug Zoo, and much more.
