NEW! OARDC will be expanding it's new OARDC on the Road program that was initiated in a pilot phase last year. In the pilot phase, OARDC was able to bring hands-on science to the classrooms of over 800 students. This year, OARDC expanding this program designed to provide assistance to schools experiencing financial hardship. Schools accepted into this program for the 2006-7 school year will have an OARDC representative come to their classroom and teach a hands-on, interactive science lesson so that kids can learn more about the science of agriculture.
Opportunities for the 2006-7 school year include All About Bulbs, Wool Ewe keep Me Warm?, FBI Investigators, Mighty Bean, Ohio on the Grow, Exploring Soils, Pollination Celebration, Coyote Carrying Capacity, and Ancient Hydroponics.
