A calendar of events for the outreach component of WEGSA was proposed. Ken Cochran highlighted new events that WEGSA has been invited to assist – see attached.

It was decided that WEGSA would be a separate entity from EGSA and hence registered with the university.

The old constitution developed in the early 90’s is to be reviewed and amended by all members in particular, the objectives and membership. All amendments are to be forwarded to Corrie or Janet by the end of January. A draft document that includes all proposed amendments will be developed by Corrie and Janet and the new document forwarded to all for review.

Once the new constitution has been finalized, the organization will be registered with the university. Corrie and Janet will find out the requirements for registering.

A faculty advisor is to be decided upon. There were two nominations. Janet is to forward ballot to all for voting.

A brief financial report was given by Corrie. Information presented included: income from T-shirt sales, expenditure 2003 and the balance of the account. This information is to be circulated.

T-shirts are to be re-ordered for sale at outreach events. The numbers are to be decided upon.

A suggestion was made by Sandra to send a formal request to the curriculum committee to include video link facilities whenever there are students from Wooster enrolled in courses. A formal letter is to be drafted by Janet and circulated. A final draft of the letter will be sent to the graduate student representative of the committee.
